Take Core Healthcare Classes
While working towards a certificate in Allied Health, students will complete three General Education courses and three Allied Health core classes that will help them develop a stronger understanding of the different career fields in healthcare. Classes for this program are taught in STC's Terrence Sullivan Healthcare Science Center. Students will also develop skills in:
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Learn to apply creative and critical thinking skills to identify, explore and develop alternative solutions for a range of healthcare delivery system issues and challenges.
Communication: Students will learn to demonstrate effective and culturally sensitive written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with individuals, groups and peers.
Professionalism: Allied Health students will need to identify and apply exemplary ethical and professional behaviors in their chosen career.

Application Process

- Select "Non-Degree Seeking" when asked "What kind of student are you?"
- Submit your Official High School Transcript/GED Certificate
- Submit your Official College Transcript(s), if applicable
- Submit your ACT or SAT scores, if applicable.
- Complete the free Next-Generation ACCUPLACER, if required by Admissions.
Admissions Criteria
- HS GPA: 2.0
- GED: Sub-scores ≥ 145
- ACT: 18
- SAT: 960
- College GPA: 2.0 – Based on 9+ credits.
- Quantitative reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS): 210
- Writing: 230
