Scholarships change lives and support enrollment growth. They allow students to focus on academics, increasing their access to higher education and likelihood to graduate. They also close the financial gap for students and lessen their dependence on Federal financial aid.

Our goal is to build support for students so the investment they are making helps them enroll and finish their program and move into the workforce. For many students, Southeast Tech is a smart investment; however, for some, attending college, even an affordable college like STC, creates financial anxiety. These individuals’ concerns include starting adult life in debt or contributing additional debt to their personal or family’s situation. Consider the following:

• One of 4 students at STC are non-traditional.
• Nearly one-third of Sioux Falls graduating high school seniors in 2022 did not enroll in college.
• Our placement rate is 99%. Our graduates are highly employable and well trained. 

To meet Southeast Tech’s workforce mission and contribute to our city, state, and regional economy, we must significantly increase the number and level of scholarships to award students.
